Open Positions

Children and Family Treatment and Support Services

1.  Other Licensed Professional (OLP)

To provide Other Licensed Practitioner services, applicant will possess a Valid NYS license in the following areas:

  • Licensed psychoanalysts
  • Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) and
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC)
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Supervision with LCSW, Licensed Psychologists or Psychiatrics. 


2. Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment (CPST)

  • Applicants require a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related human services. Master degree holders can provide services in all areas of CPST. 
  • Bachelor degree holders who have three years applicable experience and are certified in an Evidence-Based Practice relevant to the CPST component being delivered can also provide services in all areas of CPST. 
  • Bachelor degree holders with two years’ experience in Children’s mental health, addition, mental health, Child welfare and Juvenile Justice may also provide services in all aspects of CPST EXCEPT counseling. The list of practitioners here include: Registered Nurse with one year of behavioral health experience, Licensed Occupational Therapist and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist all operating within the scope of their license. 

Supervisor Qualifications: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Psychoanalyst, Licensed Psychologist, Physician’s Assistant, Psychiatrist, Physician, Registered Professional Nurse, or Nurse Practitioner operating within the scope of their practice

  • At least 2-3 years of work experience. 
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to trauma informed care and the cultural needs of the served population. 


3.  Psychosocial Rehabilitation

  • Preferably a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services or a 
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services; or 
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent or a CDOS Certificate and three years of 
  • Experience in Child Welfare, Mental Health or Addiction.
  • Be at least 18 years of age. 

Supervisor Qualifications: A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Psychoanalyst, Licensed Psychologist, Physician’s Assistant, Psychiatrist, Physician, Registered Professional Nurse, or Nurse Practitioner operating within the scope of their practice. 

  • Supervisors must also be aware of, and sensitive to, trauma informed care and the cultural needs of the served population. 


4. Family Peer Support Services 

  • Candidates ne to have experience as a parent and/or caregiver of a child with social, emotional, developmental, health and/or behavioral healthcare needs. 
  • Have a minimum of high school diploma, high school equivalency or a state Education Commencement Credential. 
  • Complete level one and two of the Parent Empowerment Program Training for Family Peer Advocates. Document 1000 hours of experience providing FPSS. 
  • Agree to practice according to the Family Peer Advocate Code of Ethics. 
  • Complete 20 hours of continuing education and current FPA credential (renewed every 2 years). 

Supervisor Qualifications: for Credentialed Family Peer Advocate/Certified Recovery Peer Advocate. A minimum of 4 years’ experience providing FPSS services, at least one year of which is as a credentialed FPA/CRPA-F is needed. 


5.  Youth Peer Support and Training (YPST) 

  • Candidate MUST be credentialed by New York State. 
  • Have a high school diploma, high school equivalency, or a State Education Commencement Credential (SACC or CDOS).
  • Complete level one and two training for Youth Peer Advocates (YPAs). 
  • Be 18-30 year old 
  • Have a personal history of dealing with social, emotional, medical, developmental, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges. 
  • Be willing and able to use such knowledge in working with a disability, mental illness, juvenile justice, special education, substance use disorder, and foster care, to assist in supporting youth in their resiliency/recovery and wellness. 
  • Have at least 600 hours of experience providing YPSS and complete 20 hours of continuing education every two years. 

Supervisor Qualifications: A credentialed YPA/CRPA, with four years of direct YPST service  

 experience. 

Home and Community Based Services

1. Caregiver Family Support and Services

  • Minimum qualification of a high school diploma, high school equivalency or a State Education Commencement Credential (e.g. SACC or CDOS) with related human service experience/experience working with children/youth. Some experience working with children/youth preferred. 

Supervisor Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of experience in human  

services working with children/youth. 


2. Respite 

  • Minimum qualification of a high school diploma, high school equivalency or a State Education Commencement Credential (e.g. SACC or CDOS) with related human service experience/experience working with children/youth. Some experience working with children/youth preferred. 

Supervisor Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of experience in human 

services working with children/youth. 


3. Prevocational Services

  • The preferred qualifications for this position is a Bachelor’s degree with one year of  experience in human services working with children/youth. Candidates with an Associate’s degree and one year of human service experience can also apply. 

Supervisor Qualifications: A Master’s with a year’s experience in human services or a Bachelor’s degree with three years of experience in human services.


4. Community Self-Advocacy Training and Support

  • The preferred qualifications for this position is a Master’s degree in education, or a Master’s degree in a human services field plus one year of applicable experience
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree plus two years of related experience. 

Supervisor Qualifications • To supervise this service, a candidate requires a minimum qualifications of a Master’s degree with at least one year of experience in human services working with children/youth 


5. Supported Employment

  • Bachelor’s degree with one year experience in human services working with children/youth. 
  • Candidates with Associate’s degree and one year of human service experience can also apply.

Supervisor Qualifications: Master’s degree with one year experience in human services 

 working with children/youth OR a Bachelor’s degree with three years’ experience in human 

services.
